Dancer at Sunset – Camano Dance Photography

Here in the pacific northwest we have been having an early spring (sorry, rest of the country mired in snow). Yesterday was beautiful, partly cloudy, and wonderful. And then came sunset.

Because beautiful days with a few clouds often bring beautiful sunsets, I took my favorite dancer out for some photos. She recently got new pointe shoes, so we grabbed the old ones (which ended up getting fairly dirty) and set out for the beach at Camano Island State Park.

While we waited for the sun to go down a bit, we took some pictures in the woods nearby.

Then as the sun got low, we went to the water.

Our shores aren’t sandy, but they have lots of cool driftwood.

But, it was still February, at the beach (which means wind), so it got a little cold.

  1. These are gorgeous. I really especially love the one with the driftwood mention, the lighting is just perfect.
