Saturday was a gorgeous day here in the Pacific Northwest. So, we took advantage of the nice weather and drove to/around Mount Rainier.
We left from Tacoma and went straight to Sunrise, the highest altitude you can drive to on the mountain.
You can’t see it from here, but there is a group of climbers right near the top when I took this photo. We had to use the telescopes at the visitor center to see them.
The Cascades are just beautiful.
We continued to the south side of the mountain and made a brief stop at Reflection Lake
Then went on up to Paradise. There was still plenty of snow there, and the wild flowers weren’t quite in bloom yet.
All in all a great way to spend a Saturday.
