Exploring Washington State

With my in-laws visiting for a few weeks, from oversees, we decided to take the kids out of school for a couple days and go see our great state.
First up, the San Juan Islands

One day we went to see Mt St Helen’s

We also saw Mt Rainier, but I didn’t take any photos of that this time.

Another day we hiked to a nearby waterfall called Feature Show Falls. This time of year the flow is quite heavy, making the falls even more beautiful.

Since the North Cascades Highway just opened up for the season, we took a trip to the eastern side of the state.

Still plenty of snow up on the pass.

While in the east, we saw the Grand Coulee Dam,

And even drove through Leavenworth on the way home (but I don’t have any good photos of that, it was getting dark and rainy by then).

Of course, we couldn’t miss visiting Seattle a little

And for a brief minute on their last day here we went to the Canadian Border and saw the Peace Arch.

Hope you enjoyed seeing our little trip around our home state.
